Spiral Hill

Spiral Hill is an iconic scene in the movie. I think it is well designed, especially against the huge yellow moon, and the more dreamy aperture is charming.

I’m very curious about the material of the moon. If the moon is a fabric element, I want the surface to be smooth and wrinkle-free, so as to maintain its perfect visual effect.

In addition to the tombstones, there is Zero’s dog house on the ground. Unfortunately, the dog house is too small to enter.

Jack Skellington’s house

Fans of the movie will be impressed by the unique house. The originally twisted and weird shape has now become relatively straight, with only the chimney still retaining its strange curved shape.

When you lift the movable roof, you will see the Christmas decorations. It turns out that this small house also hides a romantic Christmas secret. However, the small interior space makes people feel a little cramped for the residents inside.

Town Hall

Zero is so cute and Spiral Hill is very beautiful. But compared with the original Ideas submission by Simon Scott, you may be disappointed. Not to mention that the model has been downsized and simplified in design, Jack Skellington’s house has become completely different. From the perspective of a loyal fan of the movie, this is really hard to accept.

LEGO Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures

The design of the doll feels quite exquisite. The facial expressions are very detailed and may be printed patterns, it’s quite difficult to design detailed expressions using bricks, I think facial expressions lend themselves well to printed patterns.

The main body of this model is a Suitcase, which comes with a key, a pink flower, a pink round box and a green bottle. The Suitcase opens and turns into Glinda and Elphaba’s Dormitory. The Dormitory is gorgeously decorated and has many exquisite accessories and furniture.

I always feel that Dormitory uses stickers on its walls and some furniture, but not even the logo on the Suitcase exterior is a sticker! ? In this picture, you can see that the table in the middle of Dormitory has a QR code. I guess that table can rotate.The design concept is similar to LEGO 75952 Newt’s Case of Magical Creatures. I like this design.

LEGO Wicked Glinda, Elphaba & Nessarose at Shiz University

Personal opinion

Among the LEGO Wicked series sets, the design of LEGO Wicked Elphaba & Glinda Figures impressed me the most. Although dolls made of building blocks are no longer uncommon, the design of these two characters is unique and charming, and every detail faithfully restores the character image, making people unable to put it down.

LEGO Fortnite Durrr Burger(No.77070)

Durrr Burger is a fictional fast food chain in the Fortnite universe. It can be seen in some of Save the World’s suburb areas, in Battle Royale, and can currently be found in Party Royale.

The eyes of this burger are all protruding and the long and exaggerated tongue is quite scary. I think it can be used to scare people on April Fool’s Day, and it should have a good effect.

LEGO Fortnite Supply Llama(No.77071)

Usually referred to by the community as Loot Llama or just Llama, is a loot cache available in Battle Royale. Only 5 Supply Llamas exist per match, with their locations chosen at random. This bus is so cool. It is equipped with a device that looks like a robotic arm. There is a hot air balloon on the roof, so it can fly into the sky. I think it should be renamed an air bus. The roof can be opened, and there are 9 seats inside the bus, which can accommodate 9 people. The shape of each minifigures is very unique.

Personal opinion

Of the four sets, my favorite is the LEGO Fortnite Battle Bus set. Because I think the design of the bus combined with the hot air balloon is very creative, and there are many cool minifigures.

If you want to design a MOC with bone-related themes, you can consider LEGO Fortnite Peely Bone, because in addition to referring to the bones of this model, you can also learn the design of organs. Few LEGO sets currently released have detailed models of bones and organs at the same time, which can be used as a reference for creating MOC.

Meet the designers behind the LEGO Technic™ McLaren P1™ model and learn how they recreated the details of an iconic car.

Lego has designed the appearance of the McLaren P1 very well. It has a realistic body design and is very aggressive. Every curve and angle has been carefully aerodynamically calculated to achieve the best balance of air resistance and downforce. The splitter at the front of the body, side skirts, large rear wing, etc. all provide it with excellent high-speed stability.

However, whether the curve of the rear of the LEGO supercar in the film is the same as that of a real supercar may be a matter of opinion. It’s not easy to completely replicate the complex curves of a real racing car. LEGO designers cleverly used a combination of various building blocks to simulate the outline of a real racing car as much as possible. This design not only conforms to LEGO’s style, but also shows the designer’s ingenuity.

The lift-up butterfly-wing doors are a classic McLaren design element… however, they posed a challenge for the LEGO Group designers. Lego bricks are limited in size and shape, so simulating the complex opening and closing action of a butterfly wing door and ensuring its stability requires a high level of design ingenuity. Designers had to accurately calculate the position and angle of each part to make this pair of butterfly wing doors come alive in the Lego world.
